Technologists working in the area of pervasive healthcare are often unaware of issues that are common knowledge amongst medical professionals and healthcare practitioners, and are thus unable to provide solutions that address real problems. Conversely, the medical world is often unaware of recent technological developments and is as such, unable to request or recommend solutions that might provide helpful interventions in the lives of patients. The 2nd workshop in on this topic aims to bring together the technical expertise of the technologists and the real-world issues, problems and practices as experienced by medical professionals.
